We Keep Alberta Moving

From jobsites to industrial plants, from shop floors to shipping yards — Local 2010 members make Alberta work.

Who We Are

Local 2010 proudly received its charter from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 1997, marking the beginning of our commitment to building a stronger Alberta—one member at a time. Since then, we’ve been growing steadily, uniting skilled workers across the province and advocating for safer job sites, fair wages, and better working conditions. As proud Union members, we are dedicated to making work better not just for ourselves, but for future generations of workers.

How We Make Work Better

We Win You Better Pay & Benefits

Union members earn more and receive full benefits packages that include pensions, overtime, sick leave, and vacation protections—benefits that non-union jobs often don’t offer.

We Cover Your Health & Your Future

From dental and vision to disability and life insurance, our health and welfare benefits give you and your family security—on and off the job.

We’ve Got Your Back

Whether you need legal support, jobsite representation, or want to transfer Locals, we’ve built a network that makes sure you’re never alone.

We Protect Your Job

Through collective agreements and grievance procedures, we make sure you can’t be fired or demoted without just cause. We stand by you—and for you—on every jobsite.

We Keep You Safe

We fight for the highest safety standards, proper training, and equipment on every site, so you can speak up about hazards and go home safe every day.

We Put Power in Your Hands

You have a vote. You have a voice. As a union member, you help make decisions, negotiate your contract, and stand up to workplace mistreatment with real backing.

We Demand Respect

You deserve to be heard, valued, and treated fairly. Our union ensures that your experience and ideas are respected and that no one is above the rules.

We Build Strong Communities

Good union jobs mean stronger families, better local economies, and safer, more secure futures—for you, and for everyone around you.
